NSC crowns winner of ‘Best in Show’ product awards
We have our winners! Westex: A Milliken Brand has come out on top, being crowned “Best in Show” in the New Product Showcase Awards, announced Tuesday before the Occupational Keynote of the 2022 NSC Safety Congress & Expo at the San Diego Convention Center.
The winning product? The Westex DH Air, designed to provide outstanding breathability and moisture management to keep the wearer cooler, drier and more comfortable. This patented tri-blend lightweight fabric with Lenzing Lyocell, modacrylic and aramid fibers retains an excellent, color-consistent after-wash appearance through industrial or home laundering. Second place goes to Caco America LLC (Booth 2131) for its GE GH400 Safety Helmet. The protective helmet is engineered with the patented Koroyd impact-absorbing technology. Its cross-ventilation cooling feature and light weight provide users with the most comfortable fit on the market. It facilitates the job through an array of available accessories, and gives the user a better-looking style because of its lower profile design.
Third place goes to the Stealth Phoenix eco cut glove from Watson Gloves (Booth 2117). The glove features an 18-gauge cut level ANSI A4 HPPE/glass/WasteNot polyester RPET shell with a sandy nitrile palm and reinforced thumb saddle for additional protection. Each pair is made from one (500 mL) plastic water bottle and reduces 8.04 grams of carbon dioxide emission by using recycled polyester vs. virgin polyester.
