Washington — Aimed at ensuring every construction worker “goes home safer, happier, healthier and fulfilled every single day,” Construction Safety Week 2025 is slated for May 5-9.
Launched in 2014, the initiative is an opportunity to “inspire everyone in the industry to be leaders in safety,” according to ConstructionSafetyWeek.com. This year’s theme is “All in Together: Plan. Own. Commit.”
Participants are encouraged to share best practices to bolster safety culture, provide resources and support, and celebrate workers and employers who support safety and recognize their efforts to make jobsites injury free.
Associated Builders and Contractors and Associated General Contractors of America are two of the event’s leading sponsors.
“This week is much more than a campaign,” ABC President and CEO Michael Bellaman said in a press release. “It’s become a national movement. Total human health and safety are core values in building safer cultures, jobsites and employees, and a tangible way to improve those core values is by participating in Construction Safety Week.”
Resources – including videos, a daily topics overview, an event planning guide, logos, social media and media relations toolkits, and at-home activities for families – can be downloaded for free on the Construction Safety Week website. Some are available in English, Spanish and French.
Employers can register on the website to participate as a member, sponsor or advocate.
Event organizers say Construction Safety Week has grown to include nearly 120 supporters, sponsors and advocates, along with more than 900 companies participating and hosting events with a reach of around 2.7 million people.
