The National Association of Tower Erectors this week released a hazard recognition guide to help improve safety at broadcast and communications tower sites.
Intended for project managers, site superintendents and other onsite personnel, the guide provides help in recognizing hazardous situations and offers resources such as OSHA guidelines.
“The employees of cellular, broadcast and other contractors have a role to play in the safety of the tower technicians working on and around the tower,” said Jim Coleman, chairman of the board of directors for Watertown, SC-based NATE.
