An enforcement effort organized by the Greenbelt, MD-based Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance will target aggressive drivers Oct. 17-23.
The campaign, Operation Safe Driver, is aimed at reducing commercial motor vehicle-related deaths. According to an Oct. 6 press release, the campaign will target both passenger car drivers and commercial drivers, and will include a new educational program developed to raise awareness of the risks associated with texting, e-mailing and using other portable electronic devices while driving.
The campaign was organized by CVSA in partnership with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
