As part of the National Safety Council’s strategies to address motor vehicle safety, it is partnering with the Network of Employers for Traffic Safety to provide NSC members with the opportunity to participate in the NETS fleet safety benchmarking program, Strength in Numbers. The program helps organizations benchmark their fleet’s performance against other participants on 25 fleet safety program elements, such as driver training programs, crash review practices, leadership engagement and cell phone policies. More than 36 leading companies with a combined fleet of 350,000 participated in 2008.
