NACOSH announces new members, plans meeting

Washington – Three new members have been appointed to OSHA’s National Advisory Committee on Occupational Safety and Health, which will host a meeting (.pdf file) in Washington June 20 to discuss globally harmonized systems and hazard communication, as well as the agency’s fall prevention campaign. NACOSH work groups on injury and illness prevention programs and recordkeeping will meet June 19.

Secretary of Labor Hilda L. Solis announced the new appointees May 24. Additionally, five current NACOSH members were reappointed to the committee.

Composed of 12 members representing management, labor, occupational safety and health professions, and the public, NACOSH advises the secretaries of labor and health and human services on a variety of worker safety issues.
