Washington – NIOSH recently released Rig SMART, a packet of forms intended to help rig workers with inspections of tools and equipment found on rotary and workover rigs.
Each of the 35 monthly inspection forms (.pdf file) includes instructions for assessing and recording the condition of the equipment. Where appropriate, the documents also address federal regulations and industry best practices.
