Baltimore — UL Solutions is the recipient of the 2026 Robert W. Campbell Award – a National Safety Council recognition for organizations that successfully integrate environmental, health and safety management with business operations.
Representatives of UL Solutions accepted the award May 6 during the NSC Leaders in Safety Award Celebration, part of the 2026 NSC Safety Summit. Based in Northbrook, IL, UL Solutions is a global independent safety science company that offers testing, inspection, certification and advisory services to organizations.
“We’re deeply honored to receive the Robert W. Campbell Award from the National Safety Council, as it’s a powerful affirmation of our mission of working for a safer world,” UL Solutions President and CEO Jennifer Scanlon said. “Safety is in our DNA and it’s embedded in our culture. From the way we operate to the solutions we deliver, advancing safety has defined UL Solutions for more than 130 years.”
NSC CEO Lorraine M. Martin called UL Solutions a “visionary organization,” adding that it “has not only excelled at integrating EHS as a key component” of operations, “but in leading innovations that have made a lasting impact.”
NSC established the award in 2004 to honor Campbell, a safety pioneer who served as the organization’s first president, beginning in 1913. His leadership during the council’s formation drove the development of organized incident prevention efforts on a national scale.
