Washington — OSHA has scheduled a pair of virtual public meetings ahead of the 49th and 50th sessions of the United Nations Sub-Committee of Experts on the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals.
The first meeting is set for 1 p.m. Eastern on June 23 in preparation for UNSCEGSH’s meeting on July 8-10 in Geneva. A provisional agenda and working documents are available on a UNSCE webpage.
The second meeting is expected to take place sometime in November ahead of the 50th session of the UNSCEGHS meeting on Dec. 2-4.
“OSHA, along with the U.S. Interagency Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS) Coordinating Group, plans to consider the comments and information gathered at the June and November virtual public meetings when developing U.S. government positions for the UNSCEGHS meetings,” a notice published May 15 states.
