OSHA names Jennifer Rous leader of whistleblower directorate

Washington — Jennifer Rous is the new director of OSHA’s Directorate of Whistleblower Protection Programs, according to a recently updated organizational chart on the agency’s website.

Rous was formerly administrator of OSHA’s Denver Region. Billie Kizer, the regional administrator in Kansas City, is now serving as acting administrator for the Denver Region.

Other organizational changes:

  • Michael Asplen has been named chief of staff for OSHA Assistant Secretary David Keeling. Asplen was formerly a senior policy advisor at the agency.
  • Brian Walsh is now a senior policy advisor at OSHA. He previously served as the deputy assistant secretary for policy at the Department of Labor Office of Disability Employment Policy.
