OSHA seeking comment on proposal to streamline construction standards

Washington – Stakeholders have until Feb. 4 to submit comments (.pdf file) on an OSHA proposal intended to streamline construction standards.

The Standards Improvement Project IV would remove or revise requirements found to be outdated, duplicative or inconsistent with other OSHA construction standards as part of an effort to reduce regulatory burden.

Three other SIPs have been undertaken in general industry, but this is the first to be exclusive to construction standards.
