MELTRIC switch-rated plugs and receptacles combine the safety and functionality of a disconnect switch with the convenience of a plug and receptacle in one device. Push-button de-energization instantaneously breaks the connection and ejects the plug to the off position. A dead-front safety shutter, combined with an enclosed arc chamber, eliminates arcing hazards at disconnection and prevents user access to live parts.
