Thermostatic freeze protection valves use thermal actuator technology to automatically modulate open to bleed off cold water and close when warmer water backfills, mitigating burst pipes, interrupted systems and dangerous working conditions. Because these valves are self-operating, they eliminate human error associated with manual valves. They also reduce water waste because they automatically close again when temperatures climb back above freezing.
