The PIG Obsidian Lithium Battery Cleanup Kit is a two-step kit designed to properly handle damaged lithium-ion batteries after thermal runaway. It includes products to provide baseline protection from the most common hazards that might be encountered when approaching a damaged lithium-ion battery. Loose hydrofluoric acid absorbent contains, absorbs and neutralizes hydrofluoric acid – a common chemical produced by damaged lithium-ion batteries and the subsequent firefighting response. Mat pads soak up the most common lithium-ion battery electrolyte. Personal protective equipment protects workers from common hazards associated with lithium-ion battery response.
