The Board of Certified Safety Professionals, based in Indianapolis, and the Itasca, IL-based National Safety Council are combining efforts to deliver global, state-of-the-art preexam training through an online asynchronous approach.

The Board of Certified Safety Professionals began in 1969 as a peer certification board. Its sole purpose is to certify practitioners in the safety profession.

Indianapolis — Beginning July 2, anyone seeking the Certified Safety Professional designation must have a bachelor’s degree, the Board of Certified Safety Professionals announced April 2.
