Washington — Employers can help reduce the safety risks of long COVID in the workplace through a multifaceted approach that focuses on the physical, cognitive and mental health challenges that affected employees face, according to a recent National Safety Council report.

Washington — The National Safety Council recently announced it will extend its free traffic safety training, education and resources to employers in North Carolina, Ohio, Texas and West Virginia.

Anyone who drives has felt moments of annoyance, frustration and even anger when another driver cuts them off, won’t allow them to merge, or makes another aggressive or unsafe action.

New estimates from the National Safety Council show that 860 lives will be lost this holiday season as a result of roadway incidents.

“A safety leader may be ready to innovate, yet the organization may still operate where procedural enforcement dominates. Bridging that gap starts with understanding where the organization stands today – not where one hopes it will be.”
