Arlington, VA – The Mine Safety and Health Administration has extended the comment period for a proposed rule that would require underground coal mine operators to equip coal-hauling machines and scoops with proximity detection systems.

Washington – Employers required to keep and maintain an OSHA 300 injury and illness log must publicly post their 300A summary sheet from Feb. 1 to April 30. Form 300A summarizes work-related injuries and illnesses recorded in 2016.

Washington – OSHA has delayed until March 21 the effective date of its final rule intended to protect workers from exposure to beryllium.

FMCSA delays effective date for CMV driver minimum training standards

Washington – A final rule establishing national minimum training requirements for entry-level commercial motor vehicle drivers has been delayed until at least March 21.
