Most fleets focus their video safety programs on over-the-road driving, but a surprising share of cost and disruption comes from incidents in yards, docks and terminals. Backing collisions, trailer strikes, fixed-object damage and pedestrian near-misses happen frequently in these environments, yet they often go underreported and unaddressed.
During this webinar, fleet safety leaders from across the trucking industry share firsthand how they’re using video telematics, auxiliary cameras and coaching programs to tackle close-quarter risks. You’ll hear how they identified hidden-cost drivers, chose where to deploy cameras and built internal support for their programs. The panelists will also discuss the surprises they found in the footage, lessons learned from rolling out new technology and practical tips for anyone looking to get started. Whether your fleet spends most of its time in the yard or only passes through on pickups and deliveries, this session will give you a playbook for reducing incidents in the last 500 feet.
