DOL renews charter for whistleblower advisory committee

Washington – OSHA’s Whistleblower Protection Advisory Committee is set for the next two years following Secretary of Labor Thomas Perez’s renewal of the group’s charter.

OSHA announced the renewal in the April 25 Federal Register. WPAC is a 12-member advisory body that includes representatives from management, labor, states and the general public. The group meets at least twice a year to consult with federal labor officials and offer recommendations “on matters relating to whistleblower complaints filed under the whistleblower statutes that OSHA enforces,” according to its charter.
