OSHA advisory committee set to meet for first time in three years

Washington — The National Advisory Committee on Occupational Safety and Health has scheduled a meeting – its first in three years – for Dec. 12.

According to a tentative agenda published in the Nov. 14 Federal Register, acting OSHA administrator Loren Sweatt will provide updates on key agency initiatives. NIOSH Director John Howard also is slated to speak during the meeting, set for 9:30 a.m. Eastern at the Department of Labor headquarters.

NACOSH, which hasn’t met since December 2016, had its two-year charter renewed Oct. 11, 2018. OSHA announced the appointments of the committee’s new members on Sept. 23.

The deadline for requests to speak and comment submissions is Dec. 5.
