The council says several states are deciding whether to extend or end COVID-19 workers’ comp presumptions, enact new presumptions, or consider proposals on vaccinations and workers’ comp.

NCCI has tracked more than 800 federal and state bills that cover workplace-related psychological injuries, marijuana legalization and reimbursement, single-payer health insurance, and classifying gig and other workers as employees or independent contractors. Additionally, NCCI has tracked more than 200 regulations related to workers’ comp.

“For nearly 100 years, NCCI has been the trusted source for workers’ compensation information,” NCCI President and CEO Bill Donnell said in a press release. “We produce comprehensive reports like these to help stakeholders navigate through complex issues that shape the regulatory and legislative landscape.”
