Every month during 2019, Safety+Health will be sharing bits of the magazine’s history from its first 100 years.
Since Safety+Health’s launch as National Safety News in 1919, the publication has always had a special relationship with the National Safety Council Library.
The very first issue of NSN touted the library – headed by “Miss Mary B. Day” – as a place to find “the best and latest thoughts on safety.”
Today, the library – under the leadership of Library Manager Alaina Kolosh – remains the S+H team’s go-to source. Alaina’s research skills, her knowledge of safety and the
library’s vast collection, and her suggestions on current topics are essential to our ability to bring you timely and accurate information.
