OSHA seeking members for advisory committee on federal workers

Washington – OSHA is accepting nominations until Oct. 31 for membership on the Federal Advisory Council on Occupational Safety and Health.

Three labor and three management representatives will be appointed by the secretary of labor to begin three-year terms starting Jan. 1.

FACOSH members advise the secretary on issues about the occupational safety and health of federal workers. Topics include guidance on reducing injuries and illnesses, as well as promoting quality occupational safety and health programs in federal agencies. The 16-member council includes eight management representatives from federal agencies and eight representatives of labor organizations. FACOSH meets at least twice a year.
