Washington – To gain input on the potential impact a proposed recordkeeping requirement change could have on small businesses, OSHA has scheduled three teleconferences in April: one on April 11 and two on April 12.
The rule change would require businesses to note work-related musculoskeletal disorders in a specific column on OSHA 300 logs. Currently, employers are required to record such injuries but do not have to mark them in a specific MSD column.
Following a backlash against the proposed change, OSHA announced Jan. 25 it would temporarily delay the rule to solicit additional comments from industry.
