As I write this Editor’s Note, we’re still less than two weeks into November. That’s nothing unusual – working ahead is part of making magazines. So, by the time you read these words, the Safety+Health team will be well into our plans for the new year.
Although our commitment to a print edition remains strong, one of those plans is a refreshed website. Already under construction, it’s something we’ve wanted to do for a long time, so we’re excited that it’s happening. For months, we’ve been immersed in wireframes, mock-ups, categories, tags and dozens of other details.
Pretty much every member of the S+H team has, and will, contribute to the effort, but the hardest work has been done by our digital publications specialist, Gary McCabe. Gary recently joined our group and immediately jumped into this big, complicated project on top of all the other duties required of his role. In addition to his many years of experience with websites, publishing and journalism, Gary has brought a wonderful combination of enthusiasm, easygoingness and good humor. He fit into our tight-knit team right away, and we’re really happy he’s here.
We’re looking forward to the launch of the updated website – and you’ll definitely be hearing from us when it happens. We hope you’ll check it out and check back regularly.
