Denver — The National Safety Council celebrated the recipients of several of its safety awards during the 2025 NSC Safety Congress & Expo.
The following awards were highlighted Tuesday during the annual NSC Awards Recognition in the Learning Lab on the Expo Floor:
Joseph M. Kaplan Safe Driver of the Year Award: Presented to professional drivers for their total driver record, including miles and years without a preventable crash.
Safety Service Award: Recipients were honored for their exceptional contributions to their organization’s safety culture.
Workplace Safety Award: These employers demonstrated excellence in creating safer work environments for their employees.
Corporate Culture of Safety Award: These organizations received 50 or more awards from the NSC awards program this year.
Advanced Safety Certificate Scholarship for Veterans: Veterans pursuing safety careers received this scholarship, sponsored by Boeing, for their commitment to protecting others.
Safety for All Scholarship: This scholarship, sponsored by The Chemours Company and Jacobs, expands access to education and support for students pursuing degrees in occupational health and safety or related STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) fields and other relevant majors. Scholars receive a $5,000 tuition award.
Rising Stars of Safety: Sponsored by Dow, this award recognizes up-and-coming safety professionals younger than 40 who have a proven track record of safety leadership in their organization and are dedicated to continuous improvement.
