Denver has one of the most walkable downtowns in the nation. This area is home to some of the most popular places to visit in the city, such as Denver Union Station and the LoDo Historic District, as well as more than 250 stores and restaurants.

Larimer Square

Denver Art Museum

The Denver Art Museum was designed by Italian architect Gio Ponti and James Sudler Associates. The building showcases Asian art; Indigenous arts of North America; Northwest Coast and Alaska Native, European and American art before 1900; Latin American and art of the ancient Americas; photography; textile art and fashion; and Western American art collections.

Meow Wolf Denver

With more than 70 rooms to explore, hands-on art and a deep narrative mystery, it’s “choose your own adventure” at Meow Wolf Denver. The museum has interactive installations across four surreal worlds, blending storytelling, exploration and local artistry.

City Park

City Park is Denver’s largest park, dominated by its namesake green space featuring picnic spots, playgrounds and a hiking/jogging trail that’s exactly 1 mile high. Within the park is the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, an IMAX theater, flower gardens and a public golf course, with the Denver Zoo nearby.

Coors Field

The Colorado Rockies are scheduled to face the Miami Marlins on the evenings of Sept. 16 and 17 during the 2025 NSC Safety Congress & Expo. The ballpark is located in Denver’s Lower Downtown neighborhood, two blocks from Union Station. 

McGregor Square

Right next door to Coors Field is McGregor Square, a must-see for sports fans. It has three towers that include The Rally Hotel and the Milepost Zero food hall and surrounds a 17,000-square-foot plaza that hosts year-round events. Catch a game at Tom’s Watch Bar or get a bite to eat at Carmine’s.

Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre

Located about 20 minutes from the Colorado Convention Center is Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre. Carved from towering red rock monuments, it’s one of the world’s most renowned concert venues. When there’s no concert, the Visitor Center has a free museum 
and Performers’ Hall of Fame, while the surrounding park has hiking trails that weave in and around the colorful rocks.
