Washington – The Government Accountability Office has launched an investigation into employees abusing the Federal Employees’ Compensation Act program, and has asked for help in identifying these individuals.
Fraud schemes could include a beneficiary:
- Working a second job
- Overstating his or her workers’ compensation claim
- Collecting benefits for a deceased individual
