Washington – OSHA recently announced that 69 recipients received funding totaling $10.7 million for hands-on safety and training grants.
The funding was awarded as part of the Susan Harwood Training Grant Program, which annually gives grants to nonprofit organizations to train workers and employers on workplace safety and health hazards.
“The grants awarded by the federal government today will provide tools for workers and employers in some of the most dangerous industries to identify and eliminate hazards,” Secretary of Labor Hilda L. Solis said in a press release Sept. 15.
This year’s recipients include 37 new organizations and 32 returning recipients.
