The Lifter is an automated manhole cover remover. Workers can approach a manhole from inside a vehicle using a roadway camera and dash monitor. Then, a wireless remote engages The Lifter, allowing workers to stay in their vehicle while operating the device. By way of a wireless remote, a magnet is lowered onto the manhole cover and activated. Workers can then remove the cover with the push of a button.
