The dangers of vaping: New resources for teens and adults

A vape cloud isn’t just water vapor. In fact, vape clouds contain toxic chemicals that can be highly addictive, cause numerous health issues and create an environmental hazard, experts at UL Research Institutes say.

The organization has released four educational resources that highlight the dangers of vaping.

Available in English and Spanish:

“What’s Really in That Vape Cloud?” infographic: It lists seven reasons why vaping is bad for your health (as well as that of family members and pets) and the environment.

“Behind the Cloud: The Hidden Risks of Vaping” booklet: It’s aimed at raising awareness of the hidden health and environmental risks of vaping. Topics covered include health risks to the lungs, heart, mouth and immune system.

“Understanding the Risks of Vaping” graphic novel: Intended for teens, it features a group of high school students who learn about the dangers of vaping from a scientist during a school assembly.

“What Could Be Hiding in Your Vape Cloud?” infographic: Intended for adult audiences, it promotes responsible choices and encourages quitting.
