NACOSH temporary-worker workgroup set to meet May 9

Washington – The safety of temporary workers will be the topic of discussion during a meeting, scheduled for May 9, of a National Advisory Committee on Occupational Safety and Health workgroup.

NACOSH’s Temporary Worker workgroup is set to meet from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Eastern at the Department of Labor building in Washington. According to an OSHA announcement, the workgroup will continue a discussion – begun at a previous meeting in February – on gaps in the protection of temporary workers, differences between temporary workers and contract workers, and the joint responsibility of host employers and staffing agencies.

The meeting is open to the public.
