Washington – Healthy aging at work is the subject of a new NIOSH webpage.
The webpage provides recommendations to help aging workers remain safe and healthy and manage chronic conditions.
Older workers are projected to make up 20 percent of the workforce by 2015, and common chronic conditions such as arthritis and hypertension may compromise their safety at work, according to NIOSH.

The new webpage is part of NIOSH’s Total Worker Health strategy to integrate health promotion and workplace safety.
