Washington – Manufacturers must use a new official government label on mailings notifying consumers of vehicle and equipment recalls, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced.
NHTSA intends for the label to help consumers avoid mistaking recall notices as junk mail. The agency also has released a free mobile app for Android users that provides safety information and recall notices for vehicles and equipment.
