CPWR website offers ‘Create-a-Plan’ for reducing silica exposure

Silver Spring, MD – A new online tool from the Center for Construction Research and Training (better known as CPWR) allows users to confidentially save, retrieve and edit plans for reducing worker exposure to silica.

CPWR, which is affiliated with the AFL-CIO, launched a website last November to provide information about silica and help contractors develop plans to protect their workforce. Based on responses from contractors, the website now offers a “Create-a-Plan” option so users can register on the site and revisit the plan they developed.

The new tool allows contractors to modify an existing plan rather than start from scratch with each new job. If users have to stop midway through developing a plan, they can save their work and retrieve it later as long as they have registered.
