Survey results show:

Nearly half (48 percent) of respondents to the February Safety+Health survey considered their job to be “relatively stable.” Meanwhile, 4 out of every 10 (39 percent) respondents considered their job “very stable” – down from the 51 percent of respondents from a S+H salary survey conducted in August who considered their job “very stable.”
More than half (56 percent) of respondents said their job satisfaction has remained unchanged since last year.
6 out of every 10 respondents stated their job stress has increased.
Nearly half (46 percent) of respondents work increased hours.
Most staffing levels remained unchanged.
6 out of every 10 respondents said management support has remained the same.
71 percent of respondents work for organizations that do not outsource any portion of its safety program.
73 percent of respondents said they do not plan to hire a safety, industrial hygiene or occupational hazards consultant in the next year.
