- Nearly half (48 percent) of respondents to the February Safety+Health survey considered their job to be “relatively stable.” Meanwhile, 4 out of every 10 (39 percent) respondents considered their job “very stable” – down from the 51 percent of respondents from a S+H salary survey conducted in August who considered their job “very stable.”
- More than half (56 percent) of respondents said their job satisfaction has remained unchanged since last year.
- 6 out of every 10 respondents stated their job stress has increased.
- Nearly half (46 percent) of respondents work increased hours.
- Most staffing levels remained unchanged.
- 6 out of every 10 respondents said management support has remained the same.
- 71 percent of respondents work for organizations that do not outsource any portion of its safety program.
- 73 percent of respondents said they do not plan to hire a safety, industrial hygiene or occupational hazards consultant in the next year.
