With its quarter-inch thick steel outer plate, the RemainSafe storm shelter is designed to withstand EF5 tornadoes, which can generate winds in excess of 250 mph. Built to meet Federal Emergency Management Agency engineering specifications, the unit is 10 feet long, 30 feet wide and 8 feet tall, and can accommodate up to 117 people. Custom sizes are available. The shelter includes entry and egress doors, keypad entry, natural ventilation, LEDs, and trauma kit.
