Gas monitoring unit

The X-zone 5000 gas monitoring system wirelessly monitors gas hazards in a wide range of industrial applications. Used in combination with X-am 5000 personal gas detection instruments, this weatherproof unit can be set up to create a fence line alarm system.

Pesticide training film

The training film “Pesticides” describes emergency response procedures for a spill, leak or fire where pesticides are thought to be present. It provides information about the hazard properties of pesticides, including both inert and active ingredients, and medical operations for victims of pesticide poisoning.

Belt conveyor training

Woolsey retirement another loss

With the news of Rep. Lynn Woolsey’s (D-CA) impending retirement next year, I can’t help but think this is another loss for worker safety advocates.

Safe on the home front

In December 2010, President Barack Obama signed the Telework Enhancement Act, which required government agencies to establish a policy on working outside the office and identify which employees would be eligible to do so. The act also required government agencies to incorporate a telework program into their emergency plans for natural disasters or other emergencies.
