FMCSA places motor carrier out of service after fatal crash

Washington – A motorcoach carrier involved in a fatal crash near Fredericksburg, VA, on May 31 was issued an unsatisfactory rating and placed out of service, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration said June 2.

Institute announces date of rural traffic safety summit

Bozeman, MT – The National Summit for Rural Traffic Safety Culture is scheduled to take place July 11-13 in Big Sky, MT. Summit topics include “social norm” approaches and a discussion of ongoing initiatives, such as the Department of Transportation’s Toward Zero Deaths initiative.
