NHTSA proposes mandatory event data recorders in light vehicles

Washington – The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on Dec. 13 published a notice of proposed rulemaking that would require event data recorders to be installed in all light vehicles manufactured on or after Sept. 1, 2014.

FMCSA announces listening session for entry-level training reqs

Washington – The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration is scheduled to host a listening session on commercial motor vehicle entry-level training requirements. The session is slated to take place Jan. 7 during the annual American Bus Association Marketplace conference in Charlotte, NC.
