BLS: Rate of injury-induced days away from work down; number of days up

Washington – The rate of nonfatal injuries and illnesses requiring days away from work dropped in 2012 from the previous year, but the median number of days away increased slightly, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Washington – OSHA standards on warning signage for general industry and construction have been updated by a direct final rule that incorporates references to more recent consensus standards.

ANSI offers free ‘read-only’ access to standards referenced in federal regs

New York – A new online tool from the American National Standards Institute provides free “read-only” access to certain voluntary consensus standards that have been incorporated by reference into federal regulations.
