When

8/2/16 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm CDT

Event Description

The ISO 14001 Standard was revised in September 2015 – changes made to the standard ensure that it responds to the latest trends and is compatible with other standards. The revision follows a required high-level structure seen in standards like ISO 9001 and common core management system terms and definitions to make compliance and integration easier for companies that conform to more than one standard. While companies have a period of 3 years to transition, to ensure a seamless process companies should start preparing now.

Attendees will learn:

  • Overall intent of the requirements and organizational interpretation
  • Key changes and new perspectives such as organizational context, risks and opportunities, lifecycle perspective, enhancing environmental performance and business process integration
  • Potential strategies or starting points for organizations
  • Suggested timelines and next steps
  • How to implement these strategies and their outputs
