Washington Update: Obama: Rein in regulations

Days after federal agencies announced their semi-annual regulatory agendas, President Barack Obama issued an executive order that has the potential to slow down – if not derail – some of the regulations being pursued. Issued January 18, the executive order requires agencies to consider the impact new regulations may have on economic growth.

CDC: 26 million Americans have diabetes

Atlanta – Nearly 26 million American adults have diabetes and an additional 79 million have pre-diabetes, according to a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report.
