MSHA posts fatality reports

Preliminary reports of fatal mine accidents now are available on the Mine Safety and Health Administration's website.

The most recent accident occurred June 20 in Arizona. According to an MSHA report (.pdf file), a 240-ton haul truck ran over a half-ton maintenance truck, killing the employee and seriously injuring another person.

MSHA said reports are subject to change, and the agency would provide notice of updates on its home page.
