NSC will present awards in three categories:

  • Safety Innovation: In recognition of an individual, corporation, coalition or organization that has adopted an innovative approach and achieved evidence-based success
  • Safety Advocate: In recognition of an individual who has made a substantial personal impact to raise awareness about a safety issue and prevent injuries and deaths

Recipients will be chosen in March and honored during a gala scheduled for May in Chicago.

Hersman said in a press release. “Saving lives requires dedicated individuals, groups and organizations. The Green Cross for Safety nominees will have a passion for safety and a track record of accomplishment.”
