NSC Public Eye on Safety: ‘The Importance of Emergency Preparedness for Non-Emergency Employees’

NSC divisions

The National Safety Council Government & Public Sector Division has published a new article as part of its Public Eye on Safety series.

This month, Maria Mitchell, MS, CSM, writes about how all workers should think about safety and emergency preparedness – even if they’re not a trained safety professional. The importance of emergency preparedness for all workers can be a key factor in how smoothly disaster recovery is carried out and people are kept safe. This is especially important for public sector employees, who often are present at the scene of an emergency and called on to assist in a safety role, regardless of their official title.
