Railroad Safety Advisory Committee sets meeting for January

Washington – The Federal Railroad Administration’s Railroad Safety Advisory Committee is scheduled to meet Jan. 26 in Washington.

According to the announcement, published in the Oct. 31 Federal Register, the meeting agenda is expected to include:

  • A status update on Positive Train Control implementation
  • A presentation on high-speed passenger rail equipment (Tier III) rulemaking
  • Status reports from the Remote Control Locomotive, Track Standards, Hazardous Materials Issues and Rail Integrity working groups, as well as from the Engineering Task Force

The public meeting is set to take place at the National Association of Home Builders, National Housing Center.
