Marietta, GA — To help employers and workers understand the importance of maintaining indoor air quality in the workplace during the COVID-19 pandemic, Chemical Insights, an institute of Underwriters Laboratories Inc., has launched an e-learning module.

The free, 10-minute module discusses how SARS-CoV-2 – the coronavirus that causes COVID-19 – is likely transmitted and the health impacts of indoor air quality. In addition, the module shares best practices on appropriate ventilation, disinfection and precautionary measures to protect workers in indoor environments.

Along with protecting workers from COVID-19 and the flu, good indoor air quality can help limit health risks from other contaminants and volatile organic compounds that can exacerbate conditions such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, according to Chemical Insights.

The course also covers unintended consequences of following good indoor air quality precautions.
