Daylight saving time: Change your batteries when you change your clocks

Daylight saving time ends Sunday, Nov. 6. This is a great opportunity to test your smoke alarm and carbon monoxide detector batteries and change them, if necessary, when you switch your clocks. This small step could save a life: Two-thirds of fire deaths occurred in homes with no smoke alarms or no working smoke alarms.
