FMCSA places tour bus company out of service

Washington – The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration on March 31 placed Super Luxury Tours, a Wilkes-Barre, PA-based bus company, out of service for violating federal safety regulations.

An FMCSA safety review of the company found serious violations regarding drug and alcohol testing compliance, driver hours-of-service rules, driver medical certification requirements, vehicle maintenance, and other areas, according to a press release.

On March 14, Super Luxury Tours was involved in a fatal New Jersey turnpike crash that killed two people. An investigation of the company’s involvement in the crash is ongoing.
